Garden Lites, Healthy & Delicious?

Garden Lites does it all. You can taste the fresh ingredients used.  Their tag line says it all:

I'm by no means a fan of healthy cuisine. It has to taste good!  Chocolate on the other hand, I'll never discriminate against.  It takes a lot for me to eat some veges.  One would typically think something frozen, especially a vege souffle, just can't be good.

Healthy? Oh yes it is. Check out the nutrient facts and see for yourself!

So, yes, its healthy.  Yes, its made from all natural ingredients.  Looking at the ingredients listed above, you don't see preservatives or extra yucky ingredients, its all good stuff.  Butternut squash is the first ingredient, meaning that's the largest ingredient by volume in the product, which is great to see! (Next time, take a look at the first ingredient and then the label of the product, you'll start to notice the largest ingredient by volume is often not what the product is labeled to be!).  Important to me, ALL of Garden Lite's products are gluten free and this product is also nut free.

The product comes frozen, and you have option to nuke it or put in the oven for at 350 for 40 minutes.

I always choose the oven, I like the outer crust becoming brown and crispy and much prefer the taste.  Downside is 40 minutes versus less than 5, but, taste prevails for me.

I love being able to make quick delicious dinners in under an hour.  In this case, my total prep time was less than 10 minutes.  I had chicken tenders, I seasoned with garlic powder and seasoned salt, chopped up an onion, and drizzled olive oil and called it a day.  The chicken cooks perfectly at 350 for 20-25 minutes and I was able to chop up my onion and season my chicken during the first 10 minutes of my butternut squash cooking in the oven.

A perfect combo!  Delicious and healthy meal, with not much prep time.

HUGE THUMBS UP FOR GARDEN LITE!
